Painters in Toronto - When It Comes To Colours, Keep It Simple

Often times people think to get a fresh new look for a particular space in their home, they must choose several complementary colours to create contrast and dynamics. Think again! More often than not, simple one-colour schemes can create a look that is fresh, clean and offers plenty of visual appeal. This month we’ll take a look at bright, summery one-colour schemes.

White & Blue  - Calming and peaceful, blue and white reminds many people of lakes, sky, and sea. Blue and white can be interpreted in a nautical theme and offers spa-like sophistication. Pastel robin's egg blue is appropriate for wall colours, while deeper tones of navy are ideal for upholstery.

White & Green -  Green is a relaxing hue in many of its iterations. Garden greens can be used in a one-colour scheme in motifs of leaves and ferns. Look for soft green toile fabrics too. Neighboring greens -- yellow-green or blue-green -- can give greens a punch in a decorating scheme that uses lime or aqua.

White & Purple -  Passionate purple is most often used for kids' rooms, yet subtler tones of purple can be effective in the bedroom and bath. With so many shades, ranging from the palest of pale to indigo hues, purple is gaining popularity with its royal and regal interpretations.
